What is Reiki

I get asked frequently "what is Reiki?" And yes, you can google the definition:

But Reiki is so much more than this. Here's my premise of Reiki:

• Reiki is LOVE. Unending, pure, available through our highest self/universal force/Spirit, etc.

• A Reiki practitioner is a container or vessel that is able to channel this energy to anyone, anything, at any time

• We are all ONE. Interconnected by this human experience.

• We are made up of energy and energy centers that transmit, transmute, and interpret experiences, memories, emotions, feelings, etc. which is the base of how we feel physically.

• These energy centers can become stagnant which means that energy may not be flowing through them, disrupting your energetic balance, or may be raging through with so much force that it creates an imbalance.

• Reiki helps to regulate, cleanse, refuel the energy system by balance the chakras.

• Reiki has been around forever and is available to everyone.

• There's not one single person in this universe that can't become a vessel, or channel, for this energy.

These are my principles. What directs my practice. What motivates me. And why I teach Reiki.....because I truly believe if we all learned about our innate capacity for love and how to access it, we could solve the worlds problems.

When love becomes the force by which we lead and live our lives, thing about how beautiful that can be. Think about how your perception of others would be when you realize that there is a thread that runs through all of humanity...connecting us. And that when you connect with that thread you can see the potential for Love in every living soul.

So how do you begin to connect to Reiki.....

Place your hand on your own heart. Connect to it's rhythm. Think of your heart as a container for the mightiest love that could ever exist. And rest here. Observe. Listen. Feel. Relax into this notion that you ARE LOVE. Know that this is your magic....being love.
